Ochsner Health Archives went from software selection to online public access in record time with Eloquent Archives. The public can explore their rich heritage with any mobile device or desktop browser.

Vancouver, BC – July 11, 2017 – The Ochsner Health System archives went online in June, 2017, less than 4 months after being trained to use Eloquent Archives in the Eloquent Cloud.  The purpose of the Ochsner Archives is to acquire, arrange, describe, and preserve the historically significant records of the Ochsner Foundation, Hospital, Clinic, Research Department, Health Plan, Brent House Hotel, and future Ochsner entities that develop over time, and to make these materials available to authorized researchers.

The Oschner website states, “Ochsner Health System has been providing high-quality clinical and hospital patient care to Louisiana residents since 1942. Our healthcare family—today, comprising more than 17,000 employees and over 2,700 affiliated physicians—is driven by our commitment to Serve, Heal, Lead, Educate and Innovate, and that passion is shared with every person who passes through our doors.”

We are using Eloquent Archives to showcase the archival collection online for the first time in its existence,” explained Courtney Masters, Archivist – Archives Collection Administrator.  “Users will now be able to view images and finding aids through the Ochsner website – making the Ochsner Archive easily accessible for researchers and Ochsner employees.”

Oschner was off to a quick start in the Eloquent Cloud. They were entering content, descriptive data as well as digital assets, on their first remote coaching session with Stan Khaloupny from Eloquent Systems. “We have been very happy with Eloquent’s customer service and quick response to any issues or questions we have had since using the software,” said Ms. Masters. “Many patrons have commented on how easily accessible the archive is now and how quickly they can now locate images.”
