Eloquent Systems Inc. has been owned and operated by its founder, Merv Richter, since 1975. It is incorporated in the Province of British Columbia and operates from an office in Greater Vancouver. He started the company under the name Easy Data Inc. after a short career with IBM. The business developed, sold, and supported several software packages for the emerging minicomputer market. The City of Regina Archives contains memories going back to the 1880’s. Their software automatically publishes & updates a Historical Timeline available to the public.
The City of Regina Archives has utilized the Eloquent Archives Timeline Publisher to trace the history of Mosaic Stadium at Taylor Field in honour of the Farewell Season. A new Mosaic Stadium is currently under construction and will be ready for the Saskatchewan Roughriders 2017 season. The timeline combines major milestones in the history of the stadium with major points in Regina’s history.

James MacMillan, Director of Advancement for the prestigious Selwyn House School, describes how he uncovered the schools rich history dating back to the 1930s in the archives – how he digitized much of it and made it available online for any browser or mobile device.
Selwyn House School has come a long way since I first discovered the school’s archives. It was in the early 1990s, about two to three years after becoming the Director of Advancement, and I was told that there were many photos, papers, and other memorabilia somewhere in the school, but they had not yet been catalogued and, in some cases, no one was sure if much of it still existed. Thus the search began.

The Rooms is the first customer to go public with Eloquent Mobile software, expanding access to the rich cultural heritage of Newfoundland and Labrador.
The Rooms Provincial Archives Division is mandated, through the Rooms Act 2005, to preserve those records of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador which are deemed to have enduring legal, fiscal, evidential, or research value. The Provincial Archives also collects records from private sources which have enduring value to the history of the province. Their holdings, many of them digitized, are now mobile enabled.
This public access software is used by all four applications – archives, library, museum, records – in the Eloquent WebSuite. The Rooms includes both library and archives for a cross-application search. The provinces copy of Eloquent Records is not available to the public.
